As the Official HWFM Left Coast (So Cal) Tour Guide I feel it is my duty to inform you that our local experience is that it is better to finish by 9:00 a.m. due to the increased traffic (motorcycles, bikes, tourists, joggers, locals) on your chosen route. No fun being stuck behind a dozen Harleys dong 20 mph. Otherwise prepare for lots of traffic and obstacles.
Or perhaps you meant 10:30 EST, where is North Dakota anyway?

Let's see, I arrived at the last Malibu Fun Run at 6:45 a.m. - IT WAS RAINING - five cars were already there and by the departure time of 7:00 there were 17 cars.
That's not nobody!

24, They happen when sombody says "hey, lets do it!"
BYW, my cab is Ocean Blue and has the rear seat intact - how else could I car pool my kids and their friends around?
Eyal - Go for it! My intention is not to discourage you, just to provide what may be helpful info. If I can make it, I may hook up with you at Stunt and follow you down Tuna to Neptune's Net. I've never done that part of Tuna and any excuse to go to the Net with Porsche Pals is a good one.

One benefit doing early is that my wife doesn't mind much since I can still get home on time to spend time with the family, going to breaskfast, church, etc.....except the last time

This event started with 944 folks wanting to have a SoCal meet. Wishing to also be active in the 944 cpmmunity, I offered to assist in planning an LA-run, as the 928 club just had a fun run Nov 23rd. No one objected to, so I got delegated the task of planning this event, which I am happy to do. I worked with Eyal to put this tigether; I asked Eyal to let other clubs know, as a courtesy, since we 928ers were invited to the 993 Nov 9 run. I had a spin-out en route to the meeting site, so unfortunately I could not make it.
I modelled this event on the Nov. 23 928 run, which went smoothly - not a lot of bikers, Harleys, etc. No problem at all - it went so smooth. However, each day is different so who knows what Dec. 20 will bring. I added the Neptune's Net part for a longer jaunt on PCH (as opposed to Malibu Seafood), then we have an optional final leg up Decker. As this is really near Dec. 25, and takes a good part of the day, attendees will really be die-hards who place a high priority on P-fun. As it now appears, looks like a lot of P-cars, and other enthusisasts, will be present. The more present, the better it will be.
