When I purchased my car this weekend I noticed that the cig. lighter did not work when I plugged in my V1. So, my friend pulled out the socket and noticed that the socket was not connected to the electrical plug. He reattached the socket and plug, but he couldn't get the plug/socket back in the hole. Is there a trick to putting the plug/socket back into the hole. It appears that it would be too hard to try to attach the socket into the plug while the plug is actually in the hole/dash already. I hope someone out there has had a similar experience and can provide me with any tricks of the trade that I may not be aware of.

You can try remove the radio and the bracket to get to it. But I gave up and make my own extension cable behind the dash - still requires taking out the glove compartment to do this.
