Can you program a key fob that's already programmed to one immobilizer(that's toast) to a new immobilizer?

Yes they can be reprogrammed for a 993, only much newer cars seem to not allow this, forcing you to go back to the dealership for any additional keys you may need. At $250- $350 a pop it is a controlled business relationship I am sure dealers really enjoy. I wouldn't be shocked to find out dealers who regularly misplace the 2nd key when selling a used car just to up the profit on the sale.
