Issues with fuel injectors and chasing warm start problems

Overworking/Overheating the solenoid leads to a breakdown of the wire winding in the solenoid, essentially the solenoid does not have the ability to control the needle in the injector. However the other part that can become damages due to overheating is the return spring that pulls the needle into the closed position, if this looses its ability to return the needle, you have leaks and warm start issues.
What I am not seeing on that chart is the measured Dwell time of the injectors, The stock dwell time on these injectors is probably in the region of 0.8 to 1.1ms, this is the time it takes for the solenoid to recover from being pulsed and differs depending on the voltage being used to drive them.

Thanks for the recommendations, but the problem is it's a real hassle to ship across the border and half way across the US, and even more hassle bringing them back - I would rather deal with them face to face anyways. The second shop really handled this well, they will be getting my business and recommendation going forward.

Knight has put them in his pile of spare parts for now - but I had that idea also. We are borrowing a set of injectors from another Rennlister (Thanks!) who has a spare Turbo engine until we get the replacement set. Putting my car back together now since I had to pull the injectors to test.

Some very good news, thru the powers of the internet (google review), the original shop has stepped up and offered to buy brand new injectors. However our parts are becoming so rare, 6 are not available in North America so it needs to come from Germany, which will take some time. Regardless it's not an additional $3K out of my pocket!

Hi all,
I hope this isn't viewed as a thread hijack, but from some of the previous comments I'm wondering if I may be having injector problems.
I've been experiencing difficult starts when warm or hot.
Most typically, the engine turns over and catches but then dies. When cranked again it will take 5-10 seconds before catching, but will start quicker if half throttle is applied..
Does this sound like leaky injectors to you guys?
I've not had them checked, the car is currently at 70k miles.
Thanks!
