2020 NEXT GENERATION 992 SPY PICS & RELEASE
#1667
Well just because I'm quite confident, I'm gonna double down on my original claim
Here's a side by side comparison of a silver example from the GT3 Touring owner's photo thread (small note: it's a ROW example w/ a wider license plate area and w/out the XM receiver bump above the grill) next to the photo recently posted by Cptahab676. I circled the lower intakes on the rear bumpers of both cars to point out what I think is the most obvious similarity between the two. To me, these cars appear to be the same model.
Here on the other hand is a leaked photo of a yellow 992 from instagram that surfaced a few months ago. It was posted earlier in this thread and there seemed to be consensus that this photo was legit. Notice how different the rear bumper is, particularly down low. The lower side intakes I circled in the photos above are missing here and the entire area surrounding the license plate and exhausts is blacked out. Also, the engine cover is quite different too. The black trim above the grill merges into the rear window, unlike the body-colored break between the grill and rear window seen in the silver GT3 Tourings above.

They will look like the tail lights on the yellow car in the post above and on the revealed next gen Cayanne. More rectangular at the ends (than the 991 shapes) is the "new, like the air cooled 911s" Porsche design language.

Bummer, that yellow car is not good looking. It’s like they’re taking the worst bits of of old cars, it was being smaller with more pronounced fender flares that make the air cooled 911s look great, not the rectangular bits.

I like the Michigan car. Very nice.

The 991 Turbo is such a goofy looking car IMO, particularly in profile. Big wheel gaps, the front bumber is too short and weak looking, and those side rear bumper vents are awful. Those cars really don’t even look like a 911 to me. All the proportions, lines and the stance are just off.

I like the looks of the 992 hybrid compared to the current Turbo in the post above.
The small door on the rear fender where the plug goes in on the hybrid model is very well integrated. I wonder how many HP and how much torque will be added.
If its anything like the Panamera Turbo S Hybrid sport Turismo I drove a couple weeks ago on the track at Summit Point, the view most will get of it is the rear end, so I suppose the aesthetes will hate the new squared off tail lights and oversized spoiler.
