Default 992.2 GTS Reliability

Hey all - I'm thinking of ordering a .2 GTS soon-ish. I've got a buddy who has one but has had a ton of issues throughout his first year of ownership. I'm wondering, what's is everyone's opinion of overall reliability of the .2 GTS? Any person horror or success stories?

I beat the **** out of mine on a daily basis.

3500 miles in and I have had a connector come loose on passenger airbag under the seat. Took service 10 minutes to fix that. Aside from that it has been rock solid. Mine is a 2026 took delivery December 1st last 2025.

I’m sure you’ll find a few people who have had issues but from what I have read they were early first batch cars. Also people seem to love knocking the t hybrid and blame every little issue on it.

Never heard of them.

So far so good here. Only complaint is that it is sneakily fast! but that's a good problem to have

Hit 3 months and about 2,100 miles on my 26 GTS; no issues. I still get excited on the approach and I always look back several times when I leave her.

Seven months and 10,200 hard-driven miles on my 2026 Targa 4 GTS (mid-September 2025 thru today, mid-April 2026).

The only mechanical problem I had were two error codes I got one day, caused by me shutting off the car with Front Axle Lift engaged (this is what the Porsche service department claimed). The service department reset something but no repairs were actually performed.

My passenger cupholder did break, which Porsche replaced under warranty. This, of course, had nothing to do with the GTS, but rather with what I perceive as a flimsy passenger cup holder design in all 992 911s.

While there has been a handful of Rennlisters who have had some turbo/electrical system problems, I have had no such problems.

Given the GTS has been out for two years now, and given the new Turbo S also uses the same T-hybrid technology, it is clear to me that Porsche has great faith in this technology.

I would assert the GTS is very reliable.

Do I? A bit over 2 years of Porsches:
10K on the 4GTS (my daily and road tripper)
5K on the first 992.2 base (daily)
5K on the first Cayenne (daily)
3,800 on the T (backroads only)
2,400 on the GT3T (1,600 on backroads in 10 weeks, proud of that one)
11K on the Cayenne TEH (was my daily before I got a 911)
And the Emira sees some action (no app to check on that one, I think ~3K)

Southern Oregon and Northern California are beautiful, but I hadn't seen half the area I live in until I got these cars. I used to just drive the interstate. These vehicles invite you to go down paths you'd never consider when your goal was to get from point A to point B.

These cars are so beautiful they make you think "where can I go that will make a beautiful shot?"

A little over 2500 miles on my 2026 GTS delivered the first of January 2026. The only issue I’ve had is the occasional failure of comfort access.

Holy crap. Based on my poor math skills that is about 19,00 miles a year! And I thought I drove a lot.
