I am thinking of getting the FitcamX for the 992.2 GTS that is incoming and wondering if anyone else is using it. If so, how is the performance, any battery drain issues when parking/storing, interference with GPS, installation challenges, and/or other issues?
I have had one in my .2 GTS since January. Only problem is trying to connect to the WiFi on the camera can be problematic because the phone will keep trying to connect to CarPlay. I found that if you turnoff Bluetooth on your phone it will stop trying to connect and then you can proceed to setup the camera.

Thanks!
Do they have a 992.2 option? Their website shows 992.1
Make sure you or your installer orients the rear camera correctly (if you get the rear camera option). My rear camera is installed upside down. Still works fine, and one day I'll have it reattached in the correct position. Note that the FitCam app does not rotate the recorded video.
Here is a front camera sample (converted from original .mov to .mp4 format, but still looks good).
Can the FitCamX use the 'DashCam Pre-wiring Option' that most 992.2 cars are already equipped with?
I am aware that FitCamX comes with own cables/ connectors for the rear camera; but is there any way to reuse the DashCam Pre-wiring option and not have to lay the rear camera cable.
I have read somewhere that the connectors are different, but some have mentioned an Audi/VW connector that can interface between the FitCamX and Pre-Wiring.
Any one have any pictures, guidance, information or experience of installation of FitCamX with DashCam pre-wiring option?

Thanks for the note. Did you get the Porsche prewiring or did you use the wiring from the mirror? Any issues with draining the battery while you are parked?

For the Porsche pre-wiring, is it from and back on the 911 or just front only? I hear mixed things as its front and back for the Porsche SUVs.

Thanks for the advice and video. Are you experiencing any battery draining issues as I hear some people mentioning that. Did your installer do the wiring to the back or did you get the prewiring from Porsche?

Same annoyance on the .1's....but in reality, it's still easier to connect to than my BlackVue was.

Mine wasn’t prewired so I used the provided wiring. It fit perfectly. I have a cab so front only.
No issues with the battery draining, but I haven’t let it sit more than a few days. From what I can tell the camera turns off when the car is parked. I say this because I can no longer see the WiFi network
for the camera.
I installed the front and rear FitcamX cameras in my 992.1, hard wired into the fuse box so that parking mode can be used. No issues with battery drain and I’ve left the car parked (and not on a trickle charger) for at least 10 days in the recent past.
The only issue I’ve had is when I checked the SD card recently, I noticed the camera had stopped recording. A little research revealed it was likely because of the quality of the SD that was included. I bought a new SD card and it’s been fine ever since.
While I like the camera and love the integrated look - the main reason I bought this camera - I wouldn’t go down this route again. It was a pain (for me at least) to install and if it breaks, I dread having to reverse engineer it all. YMMV.
