Does anybody know when will non-s 4 version will arrive?
Every Dealer push people into getting a 4s so that is why porsche discontinue it. Just look for a 992.1 and just swap the turbo it is the same thing. my car is making 700 hp with the pure 800
That looking to maximize profits and if you want 4 wheels spinning, you gotta spring for the "S". The jump in price is a hard one. Word is Porsche is struggling. Don't know if it's true.

Nice..what other mods did you do? So you are stage 3 right now?

I have the same dilemma - I don't need more power than a base model, but would like awd (C4), but we aren't going to be able to get that model in a 992.2, so I have to choose between a C2 and a C4S. I think I'll end up with the C4S because lightly equipped the difference is about $25,000CAD and if the C2 were that popular, there would be due lots of them available on dealer lots. When I search, all I see are C4S models (very few base cars).
As to swapping the turbo - I appreciate this is an enthusiast forum, but of the hundreds of members here and the thousands of people driving newer 911's, how many are likely to want to start swapping turbos? Anyway, the OP isn't complaining about lack of power (he could just get a C4S), rather lamenting that we can't get a lower power 992.2 with awd.

Perhaps - it's more likely lack of consumer demand for that model independent of dealer influence.

I wouldn't read too much into that because Porsche seems to produce 911 variants in batches. The 992.2 launch was all Base cars, then GTS, then T, then S, and just this month, it seemed like everyone around here was taking delivery of their GT3s. So timing is going to be a critical factor in dealer and allocation availability this early in a model run.

I think there is a larger demand for C2 vs C4 coupes out there. Hence I see more used 992.1 C4's out there and hardly any used C2's. When I was looking for base 992 C2 it took me a while to find one while there was like 3 C4 and no C2's.
Really don't need to change the turbo's...if you do link pipes and stage 2 tune your car will be faster than a 992 C2S/C4S no doubt.

I have a C4 Cab 997.1 Base in MT, and that car (my daily driver) doesn't win any accolades in the 997 forums. I can honestly say that one thing I have in common with the current GT3 is that I need to build up arm muscles and shift the gears smartly to the point where the RPMs are high enough to get out of the way.
