I picked up my 25 GTS T-hybrid in February. All good until ~6 weeks ago. The PCM now keeps on logging me out and goes into privacy mode. Ive had the car at my dealer 4x without a solution. Porsche USA also not helpful. Anyone have similar experiences and/or any fixes? Very frustrating!
Almost two months ago on my 2025 911 Carrera I noticed my Porsche App was not updating the fuel, tire pressure, door lock/unlock. When I use my Porsche ID and password to log on I get a message saying “Logging in is currently not possible. Please try again later”. I called Porsche USA and they have escalated it to a “level 2” and said they would get back to me. My dealer said it has to be done by calling Porsche directly. Nothing they can do. It has been a week since I have heard from them.
They also informed me that there is a “Major PCM update” for all 992.2 911’s that HAS to be done at the dealership and has nothing to do with me logging into my PCM.
I have had the same issue since June on my 2025 Targa GTS. The dealer told me the issue is PMC6 vehicles tend to lose connectivity via comm box. I have a case open with Porsche and have been to the dealer 3 times with no resolution yet.
My dealership worked with HQ for several weeks and eventually they replaced the comm module. I left the car at the dealership for about month (I had several other issues). My understanding it takes a lot of back and forth between the service department and HQ because of the communication lag, experiments to try and reporting back, and timelines for shipping the comm module. Basically they need to try several things before they determine the modules should be replaced and only after they ship the part out. When you guys bring it in, what are they trying and what do they say?
Thank you for the input. Sounds very similar to my experience. Finally, after 4 trips into the dealership,
I was told just today that they ordered a control unit and theyre awaiting delivery. Fingers crossed this will fix the issue. I luv how the car drives. German engineering is spectacular. But the electrical system has lots to be desired!
I called the service department at a dealership in North Austin and spoke to a service guy. I told him about this and another thread going on in Rennlist. He had never heard of this problem. Hopefully they are up to date on how to remedy this issue before I go up on Nov 10 for the steering and whatever else update.
I had this problem 1 month into ownership of my 992.2 base (Nov. '24). About half the Porsche Connect services showed unavailable, the cell data connection showed signal but no connection, and I got the "cannot log in" issue putting in my password for Porsche Connect. I called PCNA tech support and they had Porsche Beaverton pick up the car, and they "reset the computer". It has been fine ever since. It's the only issue I've ever had with any of my Porsches, and service was top notch from both PCNA and Porsche Beaverton.
No issues with a new 992.2 GTS in 5 months, or 992.2 T in 2.
