Default 992.2 T rust on turbos

I put my new T on a lift and noticed rust on the surface of both turbos. Car literally has 13 miles on it and I was surprised to see the amount of rust on the surface. Is this normal for new cars?

Generally speaking (not Porsche specific) turbos do get rusty. In my truck fleet, we can replace a turbo one of our diesel engines and it will look just like yours after one day of operation. They get very hot, I don't think the coatings can withstand the heat generated.

Yes and the heat actually will protect the turbo just sits. I would not be surprised that they are made of a nickel chromium alloy. They can be passivated but, in a self fog test, surface rust is allowed.

Because the exhaust housing is made of cast iron to handle the heat.

Your car will rust out before that block iron.
