Saw this on the configurator yesterday. This may be what gets me to pull the trigger on a 992.2 T to replace my 992.1 T - assuming I can get an allocation
It is tempting! These fix the two big issues I had with the 918 buckets - foldable and they are heated. What color T would you get if you get a .2?
$15-16k just like it costs us for fixed buckets. Its probably the single most expensive mod outside of OEM PCCBs.
TIme to find ones on resell or from COPART or a wrecked car in a few months to years! At least that would be at a somewhat discount. But I do like what I see!
I'm getting them in my incoming GT3T and wish I had the option for 918s like Carreras do. Much prefer them.
I have GT2s on another car and would switch them for CGTs in a flash.
With buckets (918 fixed or new folding buckets) there is no option for deviated stitching & if you want to spec rear seats with the folding buckets the front and rear seat material is mismatched - plaid rear seats but no plaid on the buckets. That is strange.
Why not allow for deviated stitching to give the interior some interest and why not match the plaid front and rear (or allow for other fabric front and rear)
configurator forces sport seats for these options ^

Porsche is still ironing out the finer details with their new supplier for these seats. It would also be nice to have the gloss CF trim to help tie-in the buckets.
I have 4-ways with plaid T interior + deviated stitching & rear seats with matte CF trim.
I personally wouldnt want mismatched seats AND mismatched CF AND no deviated stitching.

Thats three strikes
You could just purchase the OEM gloss CF trim. I have seen it in many GT3s.
If you are doing track duty and setting up the car with a Roll Bar / Cage and Harnesses, you MUST have a rigid seat.
Scenario. Your car spins, impacts a tree or guardrail post rear-end first. In a foldable seat, the back breaks at the pivot point and your helmet strikes the roll bar with force- you're dead, Fred.
This. Irritated me that I couldnt get gloss CF trim to match my seats so I just ordered them and installed them. Much happier.
As bad as my OCD is the matte carbon mixed with gloss carbon works for me. Adds some interest / diff texture so its cool. But would be nice to have more options on the T!
I have a 992.2 GT3 here in the shop right now with these foldable bucket seats. They are REALLY nice and I quite enjoy them. They fit a bit wider as well. The removable headrest cushion for helmets is a nice touch.
