Where is the dislike button? Snareman is one of the good guys here and the manual is not comprehensive.

If a thread bores you, ignore it.

Appreciate the kind words. Learning stuff in threads like this is almost like finding Easter eggs in your car. It has been an interesting/successful thread elsewhere where I have seen it, but apparently people here feel otherwise. 🤷‍♂️

Nah, it’s all good in here. Some of us like the posts and learn something new everyday. It’s called a “discussion” forum for a reason. Keep discussing and disregard the peanut gallery.

Someone posted a while back that turning on Max AC puts the climate control back in sync, which is awesome for me b/c my wife always jacks her side’s temp way up and it’s a PITA to go through the touch screen to put it back in sync later. Click Max AC and then Auto; back in sync.

Is there an easy way to turn the AC on and off without going into the menus? I even looked at trying to program one of the programmable buttons to it but that's not an option. I have been just asking the Porsche woman who is otherwise for the most part completely useless despite her telling me how useful she would be for almost anything in the world. She has failed at almost every question I have asked her save for changing the temperature and AC on off.

You mean like fan only? I’m not sure. I turn it all of the way off by manually clicking the fan down when I have the top down. Then I just hit auto to turn it back on. But I don’t ever the turn the AC off separately for my use cases.

No, I mean cold AC air vs just regular air coming through the vents.

I never found one. I need to check the manual on that one, but it might be climate menu only.

I put climate control in Auto, then adjust left (driver/main) temperature button up or down like a home thermostat.

It's nice to get some interesting bits of information for those of us new to Porsche and don't yet have an owner's manual to peruse while awaiting delivery.

A while back I was looking for the engine firing order... like with most things, we don't need to know, since it's not mentioned anywhere. Topping off the brake fluid needs to be done by a qualified Porsche dealer, (as per the reference link above) heavens we should be seen actually trying to flush the brakes or change plugs ourselves. It's a 20,000 foot view manual, here''s an explanation of the engine firing order for anyone interested.

I meant the other break in, as in the engine. lol. Certainly don’t want police involved for that.

One shortcut that I’ve appreciated is the button on the bottom side of the cruise control stock that turns lane keep assist on /off. On longer drives outside of town I tend to turn it on, I find the 911 steering to be very responsive, it’s helped me during my learning to drive a 911 phase.
