Just picked up a new shade green c4 gts.. I have been going back and forth on matte or gloss PPF. I have the gloss black accent package and thinking to leave those gloss either way.
Anyone ever see this color with matte? Or have any pics?
Only your opinion matters but I would go gloss as it would show the metallic paint that brings out the color of SGM. This was taken during an early morning overcast skies. But if you like a matte look, than go for it.

Reason: sp due to autocorrect
I would suggest gloss but that’s a personal preference. May make sense given the colour and gloss black pack. I have a .2 S in Shade Green inbound and I am meeting with my PPF shop next week to go over details. I have not really considered going matte but it is your vehicle at the end of the day.

Oh man, I debated this quite a bit on my Shade Green Carerra.
I went gloss but would go matte in retrospect. I know that’s a bit sacrilegious but I think this particular color would really benefit from matte. If you go that direction, make sure to share photos. Would love to see how it turns out/
+1 vote for gloss… as cool as matte would look it really goes against the metallic paint you have. In my humble opinion matte look is starting to look a little dated 🤷🏻♂️ (also says the guy with chalk/filing cabinet colored car that everyone says is dated).

You should see shade green before deciding. They say it’s metallic but it is very flat with very little flake in it (check out the Shade Green thread). Living with it for a few months now, I’d go matte.
I'm thinking to do matte but keep the black in gloss. I am going to the PPF shop later and he said he would stick a small piece of matte onto car for me to see it. He says it changes colors slightly sometimes so best to see exactly how it looks. I will try to take a photo.
I also think the gloss does look good, but matte would give it a more unique look. It doesn't show much metallic in the paint now, so don't think i would lose anything with matte.
I think if I keep the matte on the car now, and remove the PPF in 5-6 years, it will feel like a brand new car again.
in the ppf shop ask him to make two small samples on your car and see the difference .. i know it will be hard due to the small size of the sample but at least it will help to decide a little bit

I'm a millennial and I still haven't come across a matte sports car I thought was beautiful. It just makes it look unkept. It looks nice on a G Wagon though. Just my opinion.

did you end up going matte? Any pics of the final product. Got my car today and need to decide which direction to take.

I like matte G-Wagon’s as well……oddly. It just works on them.

Same. I think matte flatters cars with a lot of flat slab sided surfaces or sharp body lines and edges which matte helps accentuate. Neither of which are particularly present on Porsches which has a lot of soft curves instead that just dull out with matte. Pretty much the only surface of a 911 with sharp body lines is the hood.
