Default Memory Seats

Hey guys I just want to confirm my memory seats are functioning as normal. Can anyone confirm this is normal functionality?

1. When door is shut, I must hold down the memory button until the seat reaches my saved position. Single press of the memory button moves the seat and steering wheel for approximately 1 second.
2. When door is open and ignition is off, I can single press the memory button and only the seat moves automatically to saved position but the steering wheel does not move.
3. Easy Exit is non adjustable/pre-set and does not go all the way back.

At random, easy exit will move the car seat forward when re-entering the car. I haven't figured out the sequence for this one yet.

Sounds about right for my 2020. Just happen to check last night if the comfort access as any adjustability...it has ON/OFF

Comfort access, assuming you have it, moves the seat and the steering column when the car is started and as I recall it's linked to the profile.

Maybe model year dependent? As the OP described, my 2020 comfort access never moved the steering wheel and there is nothing too adjust that makes it move..or at least nothing in the PCM. Maybe a special procedure to set the comfort access positions?

Interesting; my car is MY20 as well and comfort access moves both the seat and the steering wheel. You could well be right about there being some magic / special procedure.

maybe I adjust seat and wheel to be in my desired “comfort” position with door open (aka when it should be in comfort position) and then press the memory button?

could well be; sorry, mine has been the same for 4 years+ now so no idea how I did it back then. Age / memory!

I’m pretty sure this has been answered here on RL before, but here’s the breakdown: Your memory seat functionality is working as designed. The need to hold the memory button when the door is shut is a safety feature to prevent unintended seat (or foot) movement. Single-press behavior varies depending on the ignition and door state, and Comfort Exit is pre-set and non-adjustable, which is normal.

That is what I was afraid of. I wonder if it can be re-programmed with PIWIS to go to single press with door shut.
