Following up on this. I think I found a fix for the carplay reconnection issue. Basically set the "911_5Ghz" wifi on iOS to autoconnect, and disable any auto connect for dash camera wifis. So far, it's worked for quickly reconnecting carplay.

I thought all of the modes could be individualized and saved now which is why they got rid of a separate individual mode. Is the "start/stop" feature specifically something that can't be saved?

Today I took my 992 GTS to the local Porsche dealer for the 2 years car service and I finally had the chance to see 4 992.2 in real life (3 coupè, 1 cabrio). My 2 cents:
- Sport design is a clear "no go" for me, I found it completely out of place. It looks "wanna be" without being sporty
- Standard front bumper sits pretty high and it is less pronounced vs 992.1 base, can't see the need for FAL (I have it on my GTS)
- The look of standard lights is nice, can't see why upgrade it to Matrix (that I currently have on my GTS).
- Changes to central dashboard are totally irrelevant
- No need to comment on "start/stop button" or on the hideous plastic protuberance underneath the back lights, it is really beyond my understanding why they took those decisions.

Overall, I left the dealer not excited at all and this without taking in consideration the price of the car as a nicely specs base costs pretty close to the cost of my 992 GTS (contract signed Feb 22). For the time being, no intention whatsoever to move to 992.2.

12 more posts essentially talking about carplay, buttons, etc. hmm.
Exactly, things that many of us could care less about. "Car Play", BFD.

I went and compared the .2 the other weekend as all this talk concerned me with my order. I left unsure what all the car-fuffle is about. There is a more pronounced ledge on the tail lights (I noted the .1 has one as well about half the size) but the main difference is where the lettering sits. There are a few pics here that make the .2 ledge look horrible. I found no offensive view when walking around the car. I like the look of the rear end a lot more on the .2 in general. It feels more imposing with the flatness of the bumper. The license plate section with a plate on it really isn't bad. Yeah for the base it is crappy plastic. Probably should be paint matched for all but I have vanadium on order so probably won't look too bad. As for the most polarizing choices, I like the fully digital dash over having a dash with two gauges that can't be seen. I live in an area with deer so night vision is ordered. Might never need it but the one time it helps would make it worth it. I am considering it insurance. Starting the car is like 1% of the experience so whatever on the twist vs push.

My thoughts as well. IMO, the "car-fuffle", as you have cleverly labeled it, is a tempest in a teapot.
