50 Shades of Grey on the 992.2 GTS
Hey everyone,
I'm currently torn between ice grey metallic, vandium grey metallic, and slate grey neo on my 992.2 GTS build. Just curious of anyone else is deciding between these colors and if any particular photos swayed you in one direction or the other (or if you've seen any of these colors in person). I was originally going to go with GT silver but I think this might be too much of a "safe choice." That said, if I can't make a decision between the grey options I'll probably go with GT silver lol.

Ice gray is mostly white/blue in a darker shade, not really much grey.
Vanadium is pretty cool, more dark battleship gray
This is Arctic Grey - which is some lights is dark gray in other lights pale blue.
If you like silver, you would love Ice Grey.

Hi, I placed an order for a 992.2 GTS as well. My dealer showed me a 981 in Ice Grey and I was very disappointed. The paint is too "creamy" like chalk. So far it looks better in pictures.
I'm now torn between Silver GT and Vanadium.
I want the spyder RS wheels but you can only have them anthracite, and not just grey. I prefer a lighter color for the wheels

Vandium in person is so beautiful I nearly switched from Lugano blue.
Dealerships have samples, so why not just go down and look in person? It’s how I determined I liked my Lugano blue ( when I dislike shark blue )

We ordered a Cayenne GTS Coupe in Arctic Gray. It’s like a darker version of Chalk in my eyes. I’ve had 2 other Porsches in Chalk. We test drove a Panamera in Ice Gray. It appeared to be more silver than gray but definitely with a hint of gray; picture a darker GT Silver with hint of gray. It’s a good idea to go the dealership to view the color choices but it’s better to see a car in person, which can be a challenge. My next 911 will most likely be some shade of gray…..or blue. Decisions decisions!

I was going between Ice Gray Metallic vs GT Silver vs Chalk. In the end I picked GT Silver but I keep also thinking about ice grey.
GT Silver is the safer choice for me. Ice Gray really changes in the lighting and would highly suggest you see it in person if you can. Pictures make it look too blue or too white.

GT Silver is a true classic and a safe choice. I personally prefer Ice Gray because of its subtle “grayness” without screaming gray, if that makes any sense. Definitely try and see it in person. Can’t go wrong either way.

I chose IGM for this reason. It's a modern metallic colour with interesting hues that really changes depending on the light.
