I have an opportunity to buy a GT3 from a private party. When checking the VIN it showed the car was originally sold in Canada. He assured me the car was on the up and up and all the modifications required by the US have been completed and he would put me in contact with the dealership they bought the car from for the import paperwork...he had never thought to ask for it.
Is there any issue with buying a Canadian car here in the US. Is the factory warranty still good? IS future resale value of the car affected....would a North American Porsche dealer ever take it on trade for instance?

Very common and totally normal, if it is already here, you have nothing to worry about.

Triple check with them to make sure the main digital speedometer has been converted from km/h to mp/h… that’s the biggest issue with any Canadian car in the US.
Presumably you found a car in Canada that meets what you are after and is a decent deal
Who cares if it doesnt have Porsche connect?? Does anyone actually use that anyways?
All the units/measurements can be switched back and forth for Imperial to metric in 15 seconds
The import process is easy.
If the car is what you want, get it
not the speedometer’s units, it requires country code programming to change it. Although it can be done probably with PIWIS, some dealers still won’t even do or know how to do it, based on others’ experiences here.
Are you talking about the speedo gauge to the left of the tach as I have never looked at it while driving, does anyone? The digital speed readout can be changed very easily

No, the digital speedo in the center tach, which can NOT be changed without what was said earlier.

As Canada is in North America I'm challenged by the highlighted question in particular.
Canadian specification cars and US specification cars are more similar than perhaps any other markets in the world.
I just had my Canadian spec GT3T coded to US to get the mph by the dealer. It works, but the dealer reset something in PIWIS and I lost Matrix light coding.
