Hi guys , its been a while. About 5 months ago I mistakenly let one of the last allocations go for 992.1 targa at MSRP. I am now currently on list for .2 but uncertain what to do. Although extremely frustrating to me to pay more and get less, I found a 22 targa with all the options I value at a reasonable price point. Its GT silver. I think I might make an offer on this car. Anything I should know about this year , I dont think there were many major changes in the .1 years - I dont buy cars typically for investments but do feel the .1s will retain value and also think this spec is quite desirable - Ill attach build sheet. I appreciate any constructive feedback. I was going to try to pick up for around 180k

As long as you like the 18-way seats so that we don't have another thread of people yelling at each other over which seat is best, that's a great looking Targa!
I did not press my Porsche shop foreman friend for details when he made the comment for me to only look for a MY 23 or MY24 but from other related conversations we've had, his experience point to being as far away from the early (COVID) 992s as possible. Not saying any of the early cars had any fatal flaws, just reporting his comments. I have since purchased two new 992.1 cars and for me with respect to where and how I truly drive, these are the BEST 911 cars I have ever owned...truly adore the driving experience. I have had early long-hood 911s; G-body 911s, 964, 993, 997 and 991s from base cars to Turbos to GT3s. Make my ride a 992 all day long. As a footnote, being buying my 2nd 992, I entertained a 992.2 as allocations seem plentiful - but simply not enough of a difference in the cars, and the deal-breaker for me was the .2 change to a full digital dash and push button start. I have those features in my Audi, and don't want them in my Porsches. The analog center tach is a work of beaty and something that is looked at often while driving, and can't imagine not having it..
I believe this is true , any changes between 22 and 24 people ? I know if anything they are minor
The available colors were different for each year; Standard colors were removed and some added. And there were some options that were no longer available for 2023 and 2024, like the black stone guards - which is all I can really think of.
Lotta CF on it jacks up price up, but don’t see any Targa GTS 4 below~200k on Porsche.com. Seems decent price. If it were MT you are probably talking north of 200k. Seems to also have the options you’d want (but missing MT!).
