New Option - 992 cupholder for 14/18 way seats
Like many on this forum, I've been to the end of the internet and back trying to solve the highly important problem of discovering the best aftermarket option for an additional cupholder ( ). Another user on the "what did you buy your 992 today" thread linked to the fabricated option made by machined speed -- Alas, fitment was only for 4-way sport seats. On a lark, I emailed the owner Matt, who happens to be a fellow 992 owner, and asked him if he would consider designing a version for 14-way seats. To my surprise, he said yes and we engaged in a back-and-forth process with 3D printed parts until a final version was constructed (pictures below).
I paid for this cupholder, and have no financial interest in this company whatsoever - just the first satisfied customer. I'm posting on Rennlist of my own volition, as I wanted to share a high quality cupholder option that is now available for others with 14/18 way seats. Honestly, Matt was great to work with and seems to be a real car enthusiast like most on Rennlist. His site is worth a look and deserves a shout out, IMHO.

I bought this for my manual 4-way seat and it was an absolute game changer. It moves with the seat and my wife says it's out of the way and doesn't bother her, which is obviously important. Since I drive this car a ton, it's well worth the cost.

Why are Porsche owners always so thirsty? Especially when driving their 911s.

Just looked under my 14-way seat and can see the hole it would mount to, but trying to hold the cupholder and fit the bolt (and nut?) in this very narrow channel (between the seat and console) looks like a significant challenge. Thoughts/tricks? Thank you

The space is a bit cramped, so the process of holding the cupholder arm with one hand and threading the nut with the other does take a few attempts -- but once you align it well enough to start threading then it's a breeze.
To fully tighten it, I used a simple 10mm end wrench. But you can hand tighten the vast majority of the process. On a scale of 1-10 installation difficulty, this is a 1 out of 10 -- takes 1-5 minutes ... depending upon how good your manual dexterity is

There is a 4-way manual seat version also fabricated and available on the Machined Speed site.
