Safest, easiest way to increase power?
I don’t like modding my cars (actually never have) but I feel I gotta do something on my 23 T if I’m going to keep it. I’ve gained confidence in its handling and braking thankfully but it’s just so slow that it’s annoying me. When I stomp on it, it makes a bunch of noise that sounds pretty good but doesn’t go anywhere… to the point where I can actually say and laugh to my passenger, ‘it sounds pretty good right? but we aren’t going anywhere; sounds like we’re going fast though’ … all before it even shifts to the next gear.
so, what is the best way to increase the speed of these cars? Is there a tune available that WONT damage anything or set off CELs? Tune plus exhaust maybe? Something not too expensive or that will not hurt the reliability or mechanics of the car? I’m VERY in favor of leaving cars alone and believe they are best from the factory, especially with Ferrari but maybe there’s something less risky for Porsche that I can have done WITHOUT voiding warranty… is Porsche **** about tunes and voiding warranties like Ferrari is? Or are they ok with a reasonable tune and will still keep warranty in tact?
thanks guys for any real world advice. Who has tuned theirs or done some other mod to make theirs faster, quicker?

Trade the T in for a TT or TTS.
That's the safest and easiest way to increase power.

Sounds like you might be well served by trading for an "S" or "GTS" and skip the tuning of your current "T" which it does not sound as if you are anxious to do.
There are always alternatives and a trade may be a very good choice. Good luck whichever path you take.

Thanks. That seems reasonable as I’d probably feel better having it all factory/stock than modifying mine… I should go drive a GTS or Turbo S to see the power difference first of course… and then also might be hard to find one in a color I want with aerokit etc but that’s definitely a path I’ll look into

+1 for trying the turbo S

The T was never designed to be ultra-fast in a straight line... It was about the emotion of driving. Sounds like you bought the wrong car.
Didn't you just trade for a GT3 though?

Curious to hear what you came from, I previously had a 991.2 Carrera S and this T doesn't feel much different in the power department. Not sure if the 992 CS would be that much of an upgrade, GTS maybe, TT/TTS for sure.

There is quite a difference between the 992 Base and the S which is well demonstrated by pro tuners baseline plots:

I think a lot of the oomph comes when accelerating at a higher rpm. I think a 360 ft lb of torque car will accelerate with more power in 2nd at 3500 rpms than a 450 ft lb of torque car will accelerate in 3rd at say 2500 rpms.
Try dropping down a gear before accelerating if you think your T has no power,

But yes, the powerband of the T is such that it won't give you that kick in the *** that even an M3 will give you. You have to rev it out, and the power comes on progressively.

All good points… and yes, my other cars are of course faster and more torque etc but it’s not like I’m trying to compare…. I guess it’s just natural for it to feel slow after driving the F though:.,. I mean, I still enjoy the car and it’s fun and ‘spirited’ but just wanted to know if there’s a simple and safe tune that’ll give it a bit more kick, torque and speed… it’s not like I’m trying to make it as fast as the F8 or anything. Just seems underpowered so a little bump would be nice.

To answer your question:
- There are simple tunes available that can add 100hp or so, mostly safety and reliably.
- Porsche may or may not have a problem with it. Depends on the tune, who does it, and your relationship with the dealer.
My personal opinion is not to tune a new car while it's under warranty, but I know there are others who vehemently disagree.
