that is valid, i find i just have to get into the foot pedal quickly and its then remarkably non-sluggish...

There must be a F* way to permanently turn this off with PIWIS but I just haven't found it yet... the holy grail... as this (and other features) suck!

The Ferrari is great that it wont work in any manettino setting unless your seat belt is plugged in but I've never worn a seatbelt so it's never been a thing I've thought about. I agree this is the dumbest feature to come out in a car (especially a performance car) but it's never been an issue. ESPECIALLY with the Porsche since its only active in a mode that no one would drive in. Reach in, turn ignition one click, get in, start car after 3 chimes end, turn to sport or +, wait for valves to close, drive. Simple.
I choose to be polite when i start the car so that's why. To your point, if i leave the temp setting in LO which is all i need in Florida anyway i don't have to adjust any settings as i choose to pull away quietly. I read a few comments about the *** that's why i posted this so that others can use this method if they wish and if it fits their circumstances.

There are a lot of *** solutions. Sounds like the best is to buy a 2024 Turbo S. Mine is coded out. But here's a list of other exceptions according to zee manual.

Exceptions for the Auto Start Stop function

The Auto Start Stop function is not available in the following cases:
  • SPORT/SPORT PLUS active driving programs.
  • PSM off or PSM in Sport mode.
  • Front axle lift system active.
  • "Maximum cooling output" function is activated.
  • "Defrost windshield" function activated.
  • At high altitudes.
The Auto Start Stop function is only available to a limited extent in the following cases:
  • Air conditioning or passenger compartment heating on a high setting.
  • Battery charge state is low.
  • On upward or downward slopes.
  • During internal vehicle test procedures, e.g. automatic engine checks.
  • At very low or very high outside or battery temperatures.

where do you have a diamond in the center with FAL? i have PDCC but no FAL and also have a diamond. it goes from left: diamond, sport exhaust, hazard, traction, suspension.

BTW PDCC is always on, that button is just for normal vs sport suspension.

i like the garage opener on the screen. it's always there when i leave the garage and pops up when i got home. easily accessible on the screen.
for the majority of my 23k miles, I keep my ac at low and on one bar or higher, and it keeps *** off in the winter or summer in normal and wet mode

Great, you do you. It actually makes it much easier for me when we get an extrication call for the rescue since most passengers without seatbelts have "self-extricated". A bit messier to clean up but at least no Spreaders or Cutters to deal with - and much less time pressure. I am sure you have the science and statistics to support your position. All I have is 25 years of real life experience.

This guy (F8) plagues the 992T forum. Whether trolling or just a legitimately offputting personality, save your time and avoid engaging.

Also if your car is cold started, the exhaust sound doesn’t change as you go thru the modes. It’s just all the same sound. Only later when it comes off high idle do the modes sound different when the valve control begins.

i start the car with the left hand, throw the dial into Individual with the right hand (Normal, valves closed, *** off) and put the car in reverse and back out. It’s all one motion at this point.
