It’s fixable. The BMW guys have successfully had such issues fixed for many years.

Have you never seen early 2000's ricers with carbon hoods / trunks? That roof is doing to delaminate eventually and look awful. Not to mention the insane expense to replace it. Porsche carbon interior trim has never been great either and delaminates as well.

What a Debbie downer.

Im sure 99% of people here keep their cars in a garage. That along with ppf and ceramic its a non issue.

Welcome to 2024.

Could not be happier with my decision... It breaks up the rubystar perfectly and is super unique. I think it is one of the options that rarely gets picked, but looks really nice on certain colors... I had the glass sunroof before and realized how little I used it, so for me the unique look was worth it... plus its a nice weight reduction (even though small), it still makes a difference

Carbon really hasnt and as much as yall whine about soft touch trim, carbon trim, and piano black trim all being garbage I'm surprised of your naive optimism about these carbon roofs.

Carbon hasn't but the technology to cover and protect yes. Today's clear coats alone are leaps and bounds superior than years ago.

Anyone know if it's possible to spec the 911 S/T carbon roof with the double humps by special request? The normal shaped CF roof is kind of bland but I think the double bump look gives it some good character.

Yes. It's the same as the RS roof. I know exactly what you're saying. See bimmers and mustangs with a similar design and cant stand it.

f4bones has installed one on one of his crazy projects and IIRC it was 11k. If that hasn't stopped you, from the very preliminary research I've done it's most likely a windshield and rear window off install.

Spec it on a regular S or GT car? I’d say your chances of that are slim to none unless you know someone at Porsche that could pull some strings.
