I dropped off my 2024 911T at the dealership this morning to have them inspect my windshield and rear window per a Safety Recall Notice.
I mentioned that I also had an issue when I tried to roll down the "Driver's" side window. I explained this was a separate issue, and the Service Advisor said it was part of the window Safety Recall Notice.
We shall soon see once I hear back, at which point I'll get into the details with the Service Advisor. and make sure the side window is addressed. I hadn't heard of any Safety Recall Notices for the side windows on the 992 cars, just the front windshield and rear window not being bonded sufficiently.
I remember reading here on RL that the side windows are sometimes not aligned properly from the factory. When coupled with the the Light Weight Glass option, the window glass may crack, because the misalignment puts a strain on the glass. Perhaps this is why the Service Advisor told you it is all a part of the same issue. (Even if they replace a cracked window glass, they still have to align the new glass properly to prevent it from cracking again).
I picked up my car from the dealer after they examined the windows. They had to make an adjustment to the 'front' windshield, but nothing on the rear window; they also checked the driver's side window. All seems to be resolved for now.
