Hello!

I have made by deposit today for the base 992.2.

Specs are basic; Cartagena Yellow Metallic, Electric Slide/Tilt Sunroof in Glass, rear seats opt in, with standard wheels.

Allocation is in the month of August as informed to me by the dealer. Delivery to me will be in early November.

I am looking to purchase some racing decals and a radiator grille also. Any recommendations?

What other things should I be looking to purchase for the car?

Rear seats opt in? Does that mean we can opt out of rear seats in the base 992 now?

The rear seats are now technically not installed as standard. This is why I needed to have the seats installed at no additional charge. I need to fit my daughter back there!

Congrats. Do a search. Then post a list of things you're considering and ppl will chime in. As for exterior parts, I don't think many of the .1 parts will be compatible with the .2. including the radiator grills you mentioned.

If those options listed are your only options, you are shortchanging yourself. Consider full leather, extended range gas tank, Bose/Burmester stereo (base stereo is horrible), etc. etc.

The car, as specced, will cost usd 280,000. This is for the base car. The GTS is usd 380,000 again for the base spec.

I'm not from the US where it is very very affordable by our standards to purchase a nice car. Not here. All prices are about 2.5 to 3 times that of the US prices.

The options are also frightfully expensive here. This is what I can afford at 39. No daddy's money here.

I'll be fine with this setup.

This same car in Singapore would be approx USD 700k and in Thailand about 350k.

Asia has some of the highest ownership prices in the world.

I think a basic Base 911 is a wonderful car... the OP can add after market stereo and speakers at some point should he wish to,
I had a 991.2 Base, and whilst it had some decent options it was a fantastic car...

congratulations and enjoy the process... you will love it..

Genuine question, do you have decent roads to be able to enjoy the car as its meant to or would you be restricted to any tracks close to you?
From memory, there's only like 3 major tracks in the country, but then again, it's been over 20 years since I left the country.

Also, congratulations on doing it all by yourself at a relatively young age in India!
