992.2 S vs GTS pricing
Hey everyone,
I read online that Porsche released the GTS first because "customers who are deciding between the GTS and the S usually chose the GTS." I find this to be hard to believe since it's much harder to get a GTS allocation and you usually have to pay an ADM on the GTS. My plan is to order a 992.2S as soon as the order books open. I would love to go with a GTS, but my build came out to around 177k with just a few options (full leather, premium package, ventilated seats). Does anyone have a guess where the C2S's MSRP will fall? I assume somewhere in the high 130/low 140s. I'm curious to know how Rennlist forum members feel about the S vs. GTS decision. Are most S builds really going to approach the MSRP of a GTS so you might as well snag the GTS? I realize this is all speculation at this point so please don't kill me for asking. Thanks!

Everything is priced so that it's just $10k-$20k more to jump up to the next trim level.

The answer is simple... Porsche chose the highest margin trim for the launch of the 992.2 Carrera.

^ My guess is they launched the least polluting models first, with Macan EV sales determining the landscape for future 911 models.

This is my dream GTS spec... 176k.

Well equipped base car comes out to $ 146k so I assume the S will slot in around 161k with similar options if you split the difference between the base and GTS.

Do you have evidence of this or is it just your assumption? It was my assumption but the furthest from the truth. I was like 16 deep on the S list which wasn't going anywhere in over a year. There was only one person on the GTS list. I got an allocation a few months later for MSRP. My new assumption is that the GTS is more profitable and Porsche made more of them than the S.

Sorry it was just my assumption @HappinessProcured that there will be an ADM. Do you have a dealer / sales agent that you would recommend? Feel free to DM me I would mention you as a referral if they could get me a car at MSRP.
@alex2364 if it's 166k for a similarly equipped S then the Porsche sales team / psychologists know what they're doing because then it just makes sense to go with the GTS for 176.

Hard to make a choice since the specs of the S are unknown. Don't know if the S will be a hybrid, have a manual trans option, HP etc.
My opinion of S vs. GTS for the 992.1 is the GTS is designed more for those who want to track the car.
I would not let a couple of thousand dollars difference one way or the other affect your decision at this price point.
