Thumbs up Oct-Nov announcement for 911 T

When I canceled my booking for base 992.2 in favor of a manual, my local dealer confirmed a late Oct or early Nov announcement from Porsche for a manual T. I've decided to hold of my purchase based on this information.

Porsche is still dealing with many constraints, so take a .2 T announcement for the months that were provided to you with a grain of salt. Furthermore, an S announcement will come long before a T announcement and allegedly the S announcement has been recently pushed.

Will the T be manual only or will it be an option with PDK available?

Sorry, I didn't ask for it. I'm only interested in the manuals.

I agree. The dealer is not taking any deposits at this time for T and waiting for confirmation from Porsche. But I don't see a reason for the dealer to falsify the information. I was about to book a 718 GTS 4.0 with the same dealer when he checked and asked me to wait for the manual T.

If you care to know to the Truth, which most here are oblivious to,

Hybrids are completely waste of time, effort and your money, which Porsche gladly takes.

From engineering point of view, it is a complete mess on a gozilla scale. Have you seen how complicated the car is? No wonder people are reporting broken down after a few thousand miles.

Porsche manages to squeeze an Engine, a motor, a battery into an already small car, a miraculous yet totally pointless feat.

Macan is a much more sensible car, even if you are anti-EV.

It is completely moronic to make an Hybrid 911. Either you go 100% ICE or 100% EV

What is more insane is that people are actually paying a huge premium over a clearly inferior car. Just watch, this car will be obsolete and/or disfunctional in a couple years, which is why they released GTS before S if You ever think about it.

Btw, those two idiotic sensors are completely useless.

There is already FSD and ***. It's called Tesla and it costs less than just options you pay on this car.

Moderate will remove this factual post in about 20 minute, so enjoy you read the truth.

So what does any of that have to do with the topic, which is about introductory and production schedules?

My local dealer thinks that the 911S will be naturally aspirated. Is there any buzz that this could actually be true? if this were the case I would take the S over the GTS 10/10 times.

I think it's safe to assume that the local dealers don't know much more than we do, rumors are all over the place.

Silversurfer6 was pretty dead on with the 992.2 launch information. Also, the majority of rumors indicate that S will share the powertrain with the GTS but would be slightly detuned, while T will share the powertrain with the base and could have a manual option, but won't be available until the 2026 model year.

Now that there have been struggles with Varta and potentially other suppliers, we may see some dates slip, or production schedules may get impacted.

I'll be honest if the S has a hybrid powertrain I think Chevy may make some some inroads with the new Z06. I would rather have a bespoke naturally aspirated engine than a hybrid every day of the week. I also think this will make the GT3 even more desirable if that's even possible.

The 992.2 Carrera S will be presented in Q1 2025 and deliveries should start March 2025. It's 100% sure that it will keep the 992.1 3.0 bi-turbo engine -> NO mild hybrid -> only a tiny increase of BHP.

Glad to final read that someone else is in the same date timeline for the .2 S as I am.

The S will be hybrid.
