The vast majority of automotive manufacturers use just in time manufacturing, also known as “JIT.”

My Targa 4S begins production this coming Tuesday. Ever since "Order Confirmed" (TYD Step #1), published dates on TYD have tracked pretty much as orginally stated. One exception, the "Manufacturing Process Complete" date was just recently extended 2 days. Fingers crossed!

My build and completion date are the same. Complete by 07/03 but my delivery date is now 09/06. A couple weeks later than original plan.

I’m an August build complete date. Was pushed from July.

Just an FYI, but my tracking dates post production that have supplied via my SA are more in tune to what TYD was displaying prior to the date ranges being put in place.

What is your model? Anything special optioned? Edit: I seem to recall that you are getting a PTS T, correct?

PTS T is correct. I added lizard green interior package in leather a month or so ago, and that pushed build date originally. Now it was pushed again yesterday. Gotta be getting close to the end of the 992.1 build lifecycle.

992.1s are going to be produced along side dot twos until late fall 2024.

Didn’t realize that. Thanks for that info. I would have assumed it was inefficient in the manufacturing plant, but they likely have that sorted out.

Some 997.2 variants were produced alongside the 991.1 and some 991.2 variants were produced alongside the 992.1. PAG has been doing this for a while. Somewhat notorious for doing a “soft launch.”
