Most likely residual from servicing. I'd clean off with brake fluid certainly and monitor however.

I actually took it to dealership. There was leak in oil drain “ring” that’s what they told me and replaced. They were able to accommodate me at short notice and fixed it asap, I was in and out in about 45 min.

Thats not possible unless:
1) tech re used same plug, which is against their own service recommendation.

2) tech doesn’t know how do a quarter turn on a plastic plug and ****ed the O-ring

Glad It was an easy fix for you, just shame that even happened.

yea. I think they messed up and hence could magically accommodate the OP to get the car sorted

am glad it ended well! Here is to many more miles.
