Are you still on this?
This is, like, so 2018.

yea I get this joke is old but I couldn't help it given that porsche decided to take it one step further with that ugly engine slat cover that looks just like a razor accessory now, looks about a trim 3 haha. The 992.1 version was way better with the 9 2-reds 9 setup imo.

Porsche could release a Braun special edition 911 and it would be soldout before any hit the showrooms.

At least they didn't go with the cynical 'faux' manual shifter look like they did with the 992 GT3 PDK setup... To my eye that approach is just plain cynical, like fake hoodscoops and intakes that go nowhere. Form should follow function, right?

id rather that even if it doesnt work as a manual, just looks better. they should have gotten rid of the lil dipper altogether and just made it some electronic garbage to match the ugly digital tach screen and push start engine button.

I’m honestly surprised no after market co made some good looking mod for the shifter. Not one that requires accessing the guts of the thing but rather something that either replaces or goes on top of the nubby little thing. Surely someone out there has made it happen?

Oh and yes, being able to shift with the gear shifter absolutely does serve a purpose regardless of paddle shifters.
The braun shaver setup borderline mimics what comes in a Honda Pilot going years back. It's a dog **** setup.

The Braun shaver shifter DOES match the interior switch gear. It would have been classy had Porsche made those switches match the optional and pricey PDK shifter when ordered.
So much of the exterior styling changes on the 992 seem to be driven simply to differentiate the new vs old while not requiring any sheet metal changes. Then again that was standard US practice in the 50's and 60's.
