I’m glad I’m on the .1 cycle and not the .2 cycle.

The 9A3 powertrain in the 992.2 GTS is highly complex and in its first year run. I would not do anything to risk losing my warranty early.

Tuning the 9A2 engine on the 992.2 base, however, is less problematic and been discussed ad nauseum here.

Let's not forget the delayed release, that should have happened already 2 years ago IIRC. There was at least one key component that caused a lot of headaches and caused the announcement to be pushed back time and time again.

On the other hand, there is a deadline approaching in the EU which I believe is July 2024 when all new cars sold have to meet certain new safety features which required the production of the 992.1 to be stopped in time (at least for EU market) and the start of the production of the 992.2 to begin in time to satisfy customer demand. So the release date in May 2024 is no coincidence, IMO it's pretty much a forced one. They couldn't wait much longer or face a severe interruption in production. Who knows if they fixed all the problems.

Did a quick google, I think it's this one:

(with 2 years grace period, which started July 6, 2022, ending in a month)

If I were a PDK fan, I would love the new GTS-who doesn't like faster and more responsive?

Hopefully the S will offer a manual and take the GTS crown of "sweet spot"
