Default Thoughts on this paint mod? Is it crazy or brilliant?

Saw this car today at my dealer. The owner painted the plastic below the license plate to match the metal color (Aventurine Green).

Thoughts? Yay or nay?

Right?? I'm strongly considering doing the same but can't decide if it's brilliant or nuts ...

you mean the lower bumper fascia, exhaust surround panel? Has been done many times before and isn't that an option at least on turbo bumpers? I can't decide if I like it - pro - less plastic visible, contra - entire rear bumper looses some details/depth. Other option is to replace that with CF piece and paint the little winglets in body color.

I think it is/was an option from the factory. I don’t care for it, but personalization is the key when it comes to cars.

I'd like to see more pictures from a lower angle to really decide.

I think it looks great, but you need to take another picture from away and a bit lower

This was an option that I couldn't get when I ordered. I think it looks great on darker/ bright colours but not good on lighter colours such as white and silver.

The new 992.2 configurator offers this as an option with the SportDesign Package - "Rear fascia lower section in exterior color"

It looks great. I think I'm gonna do it on my Gentian Blue C2S.

All personal taste and I don't like it all. Looses its edginess all together and makes me think of Kia or Huyndai

I like it - I was thinking about painting the hockey stick parts on each side of the bumper to match my car.

So this was a option that was available in MY23 and I ordered it. I had only seen pics of one other car with it and I liked it especially with the duel exhaust. I would suspect that maybe 15 people in America have this option so I like that it makes my car a bit rare and different. YMMV

Sure no problem. This option was called "Exterior Package Painted" and looked a bit odd on the configurator, but I am very please with it.
