While doing exhaust install I check the tubi shaft and noticed bit of shaft play.. this looks a little excessive??

I haven't checked the other one yet.

I had to take one cat off as I couldn't get o2 sensor off l, one headshield was in the way I couldn't get o2 socket to drop in.

I think you'd need access to the other wheel (other side of the shaft) to really determine shaft play, by moving both ends of the shaft in unison across horizontal and vertical planes. Taking the oil pressure out of the mix, I think it would be hard to say if the play, is excessive, especially if just tipping one end back and forth...
