I know not a single person who is happy with his "Ceramic" job with one guy paid nearly $1,600 and it is very noticeably degraded in a tad over a year. I don't believe he did any of the subsequent tune up applications of whatever which is total BS when this snake oil is hyped as being viable for many years.
I give my vehicles a wipe down with Adams Graphene Detail Spray occaisionally and that yields a finish equal or better than any of the Ceramic jobs I see.
Hey guys, I had my 911 professionally ceramic coated about a year ago, in early April 2023. I hand wash the car carefully somewhat regularly, probably on average 4/month, maybe more in Spring/Summer months. No one else has ever washed it. Recently, I've noticed that the water doesn't bead as well as it used to; in particular, the sides of the doors get this weird fine bubble coating that then dissipates into kind of a spider web pattern, see photo. It easily rinses off and it's not a big deal, but I guess the ceramic as worn off in those areas. Thanks.
As far as my experience goes also ceramic coating needs to be refreshed at least every year or the surface gets compromised and does not do its job anymore. Also, how quickly that happens depends on what wash soap you use. My shop retreats the car every year for 3 years and then reapplies ceramic from a scratch.

If they dont then either your installer did a **** poor job, or used some really cheap stuff, or you didnt wash/maintain it properly afterwards (not referring to the OP as they clearly are using the right products and method). My car has been coated and going super strong with hydrophobic properties for over 3 years now, came with a 5yr warranty. Daily driver in the harshest conditions. Never once tuned it up either.

Approx four years ago I had a paint correction performed on a European vehicle (not a Porsche) and the below along with Gtechniq EXO were applied via an “accredited detailer” and it was total crap. $2300 flushed. FYI, I know how to properly perform a maintenance wash and I use quality products as well. If something sounds too good to be true then it usually is.
Edit. It also came with a serial numbered registration card and sticker for vehicle.

My wife has a 3yr Cayenne with a Carpro cQuartz coating. The installer suggested we use Carpro Elixir after each wash and so far, knock on wood, the coating still performs as new. I was originally skeptical of the cost of the coating, but its been great and makes upkeep really easy.
I like a bit more gloss on my cars and use other products, but keeping the process above for my wifes car definitely worked well for the life span (so far) of the coating.

sorry to hear that was your case. But theres many more successful testimonials on ceramic than there arent. Nothing really too good to be true about it for most. Mines also only costed $800 with labor and prep.
Its CeramicPro. Even came with an official product registration/warranty card.
I have had many different coatings and have decided Ceramic Pro is the best. Have it on 3 vehicles and it lasts. I won't have anything else put on our cars.
I had a detail shop do a car and the coating was awesome. I let the dealer do my last car and I am not so sure.
I do know that using harsher cleaners (like Mother R3) will 100% take of the ceramic coating. It (R3)is magic for taking of tire rubber - but its also magic for removing the ceramic coating.
I am in the camp now if you are going to do it - get it done REALLY well with paint correction - or pass.
Not sure its really needed.
