Its a 22 that the sellers are pricing at 24 MSRP.

I think I found the car as well (sick spec, my 4s is similar) and my thoughts are 1. for that much $ better to option your own, 2. If you're going GTS I feel like you should just get the GTS not a 4GTS to get the full enjoyment of a GTS, 3. With the announcement in 5 days the price may be impacted almost immediately so if you can wait maybe it'll come down some more.

Offer 15 below MSRP. If they don't take it I'd walk. The car isn't worth that, as much as I wish it was. Mine is a pretty similar spec (but 22k miles) and I'd expect at most 30k less than that if I sold it. You seem concerned with resale, and this is not a good deal on that front.

You can probably get a 992.2 allocation and spec it yourself for close to that if you find an MSRP dealer.

Slick move on the seller's part to hide the huge increase in asking price from original 22 MSRP.

I wouldn’t recommend the latest GTS as your first experience with the 911… pick up a 991.2 or go with a 992 T. You’ll save some dough and have a better intro into what makes the 911 so special.

Just my two cents!

If you can hold off, wait until the .2 info on the 28th. As if there is no manual in gts and this is a manual gts you are looking at, could be a winner.

EDIT: i think I found the car you are looking at. If so its a nice spec but with PDK. I would definitely hold to see what Is announced next week. I think the next GTS is going to be a monster and I think prior .1s in PDK will feel the depreciation hit. Manuals as well if they remain an option. Also, if you really care about resale, deviated seat centers can be a bit polarizing.
Some very good feedback here, Rennlist members come through. I would wait 5 days for .2 announcement as well. It's a short wait worth the hedge. Especially if you don't want a manual, which no one knows for sure will continue and on what trims.

I purchased a 2023 GTS in February that sounds like a similar spec to the car you are looking at however mine has the manual transmission. I ended up paying $1800 over MSRP for the car which I was fine with as it had all the options I wanted and most importantly, to me anyways, the manual transmission. I could have waited for my local dealer to get an allocation but they estimated they were at least a year out and I didn't want to chance the fact that the manual may not be an option when they switch to the hybrid model. Needless to say I am very happy with the car and don't regret my decision.

I agree with a lot of what others are saying here. If you can get a GTS build at MSRP, you will be better off “investment wise”. Preowned cars are never a good investment when they’re selling over MSRP IMO. I know that the May 28th announcement will have some kind of impact on value… I see a few things possibly playing out with the new 992.2 launch:

1.) Manual transmission is omitted from GTS line and 992.1 manual GTS options will hold value extremely well, for a very long time.

2.) There will be a significant power increase on the new 992.2 GTS, which will likely cause ADM’s and long waits for the 992.2. There may also be a significant MSRP price jump. All of this will actually help keep 992.1 values strong temporarily until the ADM’s go away.

3.) If manual option remains, and there is a fairly signifficant power increase, without a huge MSRP jump… the 992.1 PDK models will end up seeing some of the bigger depreciations. Manual GTS models will also see some depreciation in this scenario.

I personally would avoid buying a PDK until after the May 28th announcement. If looking at a manual car, it might be better to buy before the May 28th launch, as there will be a chance the prices will rise.

I would just buy a few pallets of manual transmissions from Porsche and wait.

The car is highly optioned and $190k. Should I just go for the Turbo?

I’m considering buying the car remotely and will not see it in person.

Thanks for your feedback!
I was having the same dilemma if I should purchase a preowned GTS MY 2022, or try to get an allocation or wait .2, I was not able to get an allocation, I decided to get the 2022 GTS not a high spec, it has what I like such as aero kit, Lava orange and a few other items that I wanted.
180K with 5K miles still 2 years on the original manufactures warranty plus 2 additional CPO which will take me till 2028, most likely I will trade it for .2GTS.
Pick up this Saturday !

Right now, pre-owned GTS are holding value well (much due to the increased MSRP for 23 and 24), but that may change if the 992.2 GTS has desirable features the 992.1 lacks. Not sure there. Hybrid may not be a game changer by itself, but a hybrid with a normally aspirated screamer 4 liter would definitely have an impact on older car sales ... IF that's in the cards.

Obviously the Turbo is the quicker car, but given the GTS isn't a slouch, do you need the speed? Your best bet is to check the current market and compare depreciation of the GTS vs Turbo, both for price vs MSRP and prospects of resale.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I’m still interested in the car but now determining if I want the aerokit. I think it looks great but takes away the sophistication of the 911! Or does it?

If you want a "sophisticated" looking 911, no aerokit-if you want a racy looking 911, then get the aerokit. Just my opinion of course.
