Default PCA event in NJ

Haven’t been to many PCA events yet. My work travel canceled last minute and I now plan on going to this on Sunday. If anyone in NYC metro area is also going and want to meet up at a coffee shop in Fort Lee, NJ and drive together to the event post here or PM me.

A pic of 992 I’m taking…

Also, a group of us are also planning a meet and drive in June. If interested in joining, post something on following thread.

@ECNJ Sunday is going to be a busy morning. There's a Cars & Croissants event at Paul Miller Porsche in Parsippany that also starts at 9am. I'm starting there with a bunch of friends, then we'll head over to the PCA event afterwards.

Does anyone have a front plate in that club?

Wow no GT3s? I'm shocked, haha. Much prefer the Carrera/T/S as that is the true 911 and great to see that theres a meetup that doesnt have overly obnoxious Porsches.

When I lived in NJ, front license plates were mandatory. Did NJ turn into PA? I live in FL now so no front plates here.

Still mandatory in NY and NJ, but in NY at least I am seeing more and more cars without them. And not just sports cars, all kinds of cars. It doesn't seem to be an area of acute police enforcement, outside NYC proper, where they will ticket you for everything since real crime fighting has been halted.

In NJ it's a $54 summons. I'll take my chances. Now that state inspection is emissions and safety only; they don't check for equipment violations. Many more cars with tint and no front plate in the Garden State. It's actually very rare to see a 911 or Corvette with a front plate. Hell, even half the Macans and LR/RR are front plate free now.

I am going to the PCA event which will be my first Porsche event. Too bad that Paul Miller is having an event at the same time-just dilutes the number of cars at either event.

I hope the PCA event will have more cars, especially 992s.

Not knowing the logistics of PCA event, I signed up for the concours competition just to be able to participate and sit with my car and bs with other Porsche enthusiasts-not for the competition.

There are so many Pennsylvania drivers on the road in NJ that you're not going to stand out missing a front plate.

This may be true for family sedans or SUVs, but sports cars like 911s stick out like sore thumbs.

I saw 8 or 9 Porsches and a Corvette driving south on 94 in Vernon, NY right by Great Gorge....was anyone on here part of that group?
