Like most, if I had the space I would have kept my GT350. Lead Foot Gray was special. Possibly best sounding stock exhaust ever made. Car was an animal on track. Best brakes, tranny, and that voodoo engine, black magic indeed.

Bought a T for that spot in the garage last year. Enjoyed it, but didn't love the rear engine feel. Sold it after one season and got a 2014 GT500 instead. WOW!
662 supercharged horsepower with a manual is just, WOW! (Of course, it drives like a '70s Muscle car lol)

All the while I've had a Cayman GTS 4.0 which might be my favorite all around car. Love the mid engine layout and small car feel.

A buddy of mine had a GT350 and the interior quality is a big notch below my 911. Aesthetically, interior wise, it is easy to go up to the 911, but a tough nut to go down to the GT350 from the 911.

I really want to like the GT350... It's got all the ingredients... But at the end of the day it's still a Mustang.

Congrats on the 992. You're gonna love it.

You can't compare interiors. That's not why you're buying a Mustang, for luxury. It's plastic. Yes. But it's an incredible feat of engineering and performance. THAT'S why you buy those cars. But yes, TOTALLY agree that at the end of the day, it's a Mustang. And THAT was the only down side of owning my GT350. But yet, I missed the Muscle Car and didn't go a full year before putting that 2014 GT500 into my garage. And you wanna talk cheap plastic?! But who the heck cars when you step on the go-pedal! Have I said "WOW" enough yet? And both of my Mustangs were actually nice places to spend time in. I drove over 3 hours one way, and spent that entire day in my GT350 and I will say, it was very comfortable. And I had Recaros.

Just look at each car for what they are and you will be happier with them, IMO.

You also can't compare interiors b/c the GT350 is literally about 1/2 the price of a 911 T.

Feels like a lot of GT350 love, but.. curious about this comment by @PGTGULF . Are they under-engineered?

>> But reliability struggles and the inability from Ford to fix engine and transmission issues, which resulted in a track incident, made me decide to switch back to Porsche and get a Cayman 718 GT4, PDK.

I have the Mach 1 and had 991.2 T.

The V8 sound is so much better and GT350 is one of the best there is.
I also feel the Tremec is better than the Porsche 7speed. To me its one of the best manuals.

911 has better seating position, handling, steering etc. Its a smaller and more pure sports car.

Both are great cars but i think you will definitely miss the special sound of the GT350.

A man of similar tastes! I've been on the list for a 992 GTS but will probably switch to a T when my name comes up, however I have a W204 C63 AMG 507 craving that needs to be satisfied...

Tremec good.
7 speed Porsche manual bad. Very bad! (Porsche 6 speed good, but no Tremec good.)

Seriously, for anyone who thinks the 7 speed Porsche manual is good, go drive it back to back with the Porsche 6 speed.

People grovel at the 7MT in the 911 because it is one of the last few MT transmissions left.

It's like picking the tallest person in a midget contest.

I was exchanging messages with Jonathan Lieberman, the auto journalist, about this car. He made some negative comment about the 7spd. I asked him to elaborate. He said: "it's just wonky."

In part, because it's a converted PDK.

Just don't tell that to the MT acolytes.

They might end up like this

if they knew their precious "visceral" "engaging" man-box was actually a PDK in drag.

LOL it's actually just the snake eating it's own tail since a PDK is just 2 manuals smashed together being shifted by a robot.

I'll keep my GT350 which will be 5 years old in July, It has the first FPC (flat-plane-crank) made in America until the new C8 Corvette Z06. Ferrari had many of them.

My main daily driver has been a 997.1, a 991.1, a 992,1, and my current 992.1 Turbo (see above).

I am keeping all that I own today. I am sure not a bit interested in the new hybrid 911 cars. They are certainly much heavier any may catch on fire in my garage.

Don't do it! I think GT350 is whole lot more special car.
I had a 992C2S and HEP GT350 which I let both go to get into 992 GT3. I'm looking for ways to get another GT350. Sure the interior is a Mustang, but I've enjoyed that car more than just about anything else out there.
