Default Burmester Issue….

I just got my 2023 Turbo S Cab out of winter storage and I’m having a problem with the stereo. When I use to fader to move the sound all the way to the back of the car, the volume is probably 75% lower than in the middle or the front of the car. It’s the same whether I put all the sound left or right. Any thoughts?

So when you move sound to be further away from you, and not utilize all the speakers around you, it gets quieter!?!

Almost as if the sound faded away towards the rear?

The real, non snarky reason ... the rear speakers are more for "fill" than anything else. So in the Burmeister DSP they are tuned to be much lower in volume from the get go than your front speakers. Even if you push the fade all the way to the back, they will never be as loud as the front as a result. In fact, most "award winning" car tunes are a one seat tune where there is no center and no rear speakers used, or they are simply used as "fill".

TL;DR....it's normal.

Thanks, that’s really the crux of my question. Not being an audiophile, I was really surprised that when I pushed all of the sound to each of the rear speakers individually that they were each pushing so much less sound than when I did the same with each of the middle and front speaker locations.

Thanks for the non-snarky answer to my non-audiophile question 😬
