The question is how much do we have to pay for it? Lol

@M3Inline6 have you taken the center grill section out? Always hated those two bumps on the sides of the center section but assume there may be radiator piping or similar behind them. Think its possible to make a center piece without them?

I always thought they were a part of the crash protection structure?

They remind me of the "bumperettes" on the rear of older Porsches, required to meet U.S. impact standards.

A thin horizontal bar isn’t enough to protect from an impact— you need some vertical support as well. (Note that this structure is present on the Standard Bumpers as well as the Sport Design Bumpers, where Porsche cleverly tried to hide it).

If anyone finds out what is behind those, please let us know (just form a curiosity perspective).

Yes they remind me of the bumperettes too and that's why I don't like them

I believe the 992 crash bar sits higher than these behind the nose section and runs horizontally between the two 'frame rails' of the frunk assembly.

We will design one for the non-AeroKit/Sport Design front bumper if there’s interest (…as there seems to be). Once we get the design completely dialed in, we can adjust the mount points for the standard bumper. I’ll shoot you a text bro.

I think pricing will be fair and competitive, especially if we have a good list of people who want the lip. The GT3 deck lid badges are selling really well, so I’m hoping this does too.

I’m certain my designer/fabricator would be down for a redesign. I haven’t taken my front bumper off, but now you have me very curious. If there’s nothing behind those bumperettes, a redesign should be very easy to accomplish.

edit:

The Turbo S has two support rods in that exact location. I wonder if the regular Carrera’s have that as well.

That would be awesome. It's my least favorite part of the front end.

I always darken them in pics because I hate the way they look

Your car is looking sick as always!

Now that you’ve brought it to my attention, I really want to see what he’ll come up with for that center section.

+1 for interest in a Sport Design version of this splitter and for a solution to the bumperettes. I thought I was the only one that was bothered by those lol.

Add me too please. I agree with you, the 991 GT3 splitter (and front end for that matter) is my favorite design/ esthetic, easily....
Like others have mentioned, I am not a fan of the aero kit/ sport design painted "splitter", painted should have been an option

Added!

I think 991 GT3 front end is perfection as well. I want to get the design as close to that as possible.

This was one of the reasons I didn’t pay extra for the Sort Design Bumper and went with the Standard Bumper instead. The Sport Design Bumper still has those “bumperettes”, so in my mind, it wasn’t an improvement over the Standard Bumper, for the price.
