Replacement windshield with Piwis3
Question, if I have no drivers aids in my spec, is there still stuff to calibrate with the windshield replacement?
Has anyone done this with piwis3 and can let me know the menus?
Ive searched, but don't see any discussion coming up about this. My insurance provider replaces the glass, but NOT the programming if necessary... I do have piwis3 so looking to learn how to do it myself.
Cheers

Wow, love a science project. Perhaps contact the ‘Shell answer man’ @rnlst_log for all things PIWIS?
Also, I’d take a run at your insurance company… that’s BS in my book. Basically every mirror on the car needs a recalibration these days… they can’t be so literal that they’ll replace the physical glass but not actually code it to the car. I looked in PIWIS - don't think there is any coding for the glass (obviously), but there is a calibration proceedure for the camera that is mounted to it that is used for MATRIX+ lights . . .

I had my windshield replaced last year on my ‘21 Carerra S. I have no “driver’s aids” and there was no calibration needed. On the way home I had one alert of the pre-collision when I was no where near another a car or closing too fast and nothing since. The guy who did the replacement hadn’t done a 992 yet said his machine wouldn’t recognize anything and to have Porsche do the calibration. The dealer said no calibration is necessary for what I have or don’t have on my car.

I only have LCA and the glass company replaced the windshield at the dealer and the dealer reprogrammed ADS and did an alignment which was required. No idea why an alignment was required but Geico paid for all of it. $0 deductible in FL.

I think he meant VAS6430 . .I think I remember seeing somewhere online a file to print this out?? It's just a pattern used for calibration.

I did find a digital file on some UK forums to print out, but needed to register to download - If I do it, I'll post file here. I think you need these kinds of targets for ACC calibration as well, so will be useful to have. I'll need to look at exactly which targets are needed though. I'll pay another $17 to download the WM from PPN - I downloaded a bunch of procedures last time, but not this one.
