The navigation cursor is centered (slightly left for a left hand drive vehicle).
I did not activate navigation; I only displayed the map in the instrument cluster. When I get a chance, I’ll see if it stays “centered” while navigation is active.
That being said, I don’t know the technical reason, but no modern CarPlay equipped car I’ve owned integrates Apple Maps with the additional displays such as the one in the cluster on the 992, or the cluster and heads up display on my Supra. It is possible that manufacturers do this to differenriate the built in system from the phone nav, or Apple doesn’t give them to capability to use in additional displays, that tend to be a bit more custom to cars and probably would need finer grained APIs into the phone nav. There are days that I do enjoy seeing maps or colored turn by turn views on my secondary displays.
actually my landcover defender does this. I can see Apple Maps on the instrument cluster right in front of me behind the steering wheel! whoo hoo!
992 TTS - Build date: February 19, 2024
Super annoying, makes the map useless. Also annoying is that it jumps to the map display on any navigation event.
Hopefully they can resolve this. Just collected a 992 GTS last week, Dec build date for the most part (other delays). The nav is off center to the left so you can see it thru the wheel.
Hi all, I have an update. My Porsche Centre informed me that Porsche is aware of the issue and the next PCM update will hopefully solve it. However there is no ETA.
I'm bumping this post as I've had a few of my customers encounter this issue but their distance away from the dealership does not encourage them to bring it in for such a silly issue unless we have the fix known!
Would love to hear if someone got this resolved yet.

I am so glad there is a resolution over the horizon for you guys! (As you know, my '24 built in Dec '23 does not have this issue, but I can imagine how frustrating it would be).
