Purchase decision...new Base or CPO 10k miles "S"?
Dealer notified me of a Base allocation, but found a highly optioned CPO, 10K miles "S" at another dealer for around the same price.
Am I crazy for even considering the "S"?

Really depends on what is important to you. Several threads covering the comparison.

S. 10K is nothing on a 911

All depends on if you want someone else's build and if you're OK with that.

Base to S threads covering that...personal choice I have a base.
Bird in the hand...that's why I have a base. If the S is to your liking I'd grab it and enjoy driving it now.

If the S is spec'd the way that you want, you're going to take less of depreciation hit buying a used CPO car -- buy that one.
If you feel like you're making a bunch of compromises with the CPO's spec, take advantage of that base allocation to build the car that you want.

So far from the truth
I have a 2022 GTS with 7000 miles. If I put it up for sale it has an issue??
Some of us buy and trade cars every 2 to 3 years and does not mean there is an issue. I would be more concerned if it was a 2 year car with under 1000 miles

What MY year is the S...not such a good deal if it's a 2020, great deal if a 2024. Also consider warranty length...if a 2023 with remaining factory warranty and CPO, could be up to five years; if a 2020 then likely just the two-year CPO.

Unless the S is a MT and that's a "must" for you, then I might go for the Base myself.

What’s the condition of the S with 10,000 miles on the clock? I would be looking under the front lip spoiler and for road rash and peppering on the front bumper, windshield, and in front of the rear wheel arches. Any PPF protection on the S?
There is a significant power difference in favor of the S. I love the base car but it always leaves me wanting for a bit more punch.
On the other hand you get to spec your own car and nothing is better than brand new.
