I can truthfully say I have never paid attention to that area of the car or removing spots on the rotor hat.
If you are going for Concours - you'll need to bush out the rust out of the holes on the rotor!

I never look at any part of my GTS with great attention but that does not mean that I do not take care of her.
But again- it is a car and will dirty, get some scratches, and I am sure a rock chip or two.
It is what it is!!
