2024 CARRERA GTS LIGHTWEIGHT PACKAGE DECISION TIME
#16
What a dumb question. My comments clearly indicate my own opinion and is qualified with what I can or can't feel to give the original poster an answer from my vantage point. The goal was to help him get more opinions which is why he posted to begin with.
Your question seems stupidly condescending

Smoking tire just did a back to back comparison of rear axel steer vs not ala the GT3 touring and S/T.
summary: RAS gives a “high-tech feeling”, not having it “gives a more old-school feeling with help from reduced weight”
Also my own conclusions have me believe it’s entirely preferential.
Don’t ask me what I have decided for my own 992.2 GTS because I do not know… that being said, I do know I’ll have to test drive and decide.

If what’s been said above still has you wondering. Try and book an experience day. Else here is more fodder:

OP, at least get the buckets. For $5900, it's worth it. If I would've had the option on my S back in 2022, I would have opted for them all day long. I did have the option for lightweight glass, etc., but passed due to people having issues with the lightweight glass at the time. To add buckets after production is $12-15k.

The danger with using YouTube videos of random reviewers is that they don't carry any more weight than an opinion on rennlist. I'm not talking about folks with actual experience and pedigree like Chris Harris or Henry Catchpole. Any one of us can start a YouTube channel and start babbling on about the car without having had years of experience across the model range. Then these videos get shared and people seem to put weight on them and use them to back up their own opinion.
