My hopes:
-some type of garnet/ruby/mahogany metallic
-something along glacier blue/silver for us skiers (you know that blueish color when you look into a cravasse?)
-Provence from new macan/panamara that color is awesome and I think is a good consolation for losing rubystar
considering racing yellow is done, I think it’s all but confirmed the only “free” colors on the 992.2 will be white and black; but I can’t imagine them charging a ton for guards red (or racing yellow, assuming it comes back).

I know im in the minority here but im not too interested in different colors. I kinda just want a silver or white 911. It's funny because I have a GT Silver 992 and its a rare color now.

I'm thinking the only green that's totally safe from being released as a standard color is Brewster.
No color is safe. Sport Classic Grey was supposed to be exclusive to the 997 Sport Classic. Geyser Grey Metallic and Graphite Grey were both supposed to be exclusive to the 911 50. And Club Blau was supposed to be exclusive to the the 911 PCA 60. All of these colors made their way to the approved PTS list. And these examples are just off the top of my head. Now we have Ruby Star Neo and Oak Green Metallic Neo, both of which are variations of Porsche Heritage colors thought to be sacred not long ago.

When I saw Oak Green on the Macan site I thought “uh oh, good thing I couldn’t get PTS on this pending Targa”…

The C4S cab I just traded was AG. I was so excited when that color was announced - it was the launch color for the 993 as in the pic above. The latest iteration always looked too grey to me in almost any light.
BTW, someone bought my old car already - anyone here? It was close to flawless and I only traded because a magical Targa 4S allocation fell into my lap.

I will be a contrarian and bet Porsche does not offer Oak Green Neo on the 992.2. There has never been total overlap with the color offerings on the non-sports cars and sports cars. And, Porsche has perfected maximum extraction of cash out of every buyer on every model. You want a green that is on the pedestal of Porsche coveted colors for your 911? PTS for you.

While that kinda sucks it will be fine with me since I went ahead and purchased rather than waiting who knows how long to get a .2. With no guarantee there will be green and who knows how big of a price increase.

the point of my asking was the 992.1 group I was in posted it was new for 2024; I wasn’t sure. I don’t think rennbow has a reverse image search, does it?

That one photo isn't really enough to go on, but if I had to guess, it could maybe be Ipanema Blue Metallic?

I don’t think so. Color varies so much depending on lighting sources ….
