How do you not get tint?

I just traded my 991.2 to a 2024 992.
The 991 had tint and the 992 didn’t when I picked it up, and I really liked the looks of the clear glas.
I live in north Florida and it is not particularly hot right now, but still it felt like in a greenhouse as soon as the sun hit.
I called the shop immediately and got it tinted.
i went with 50% so not too dark in terms of optics, but works extremely well when it comes to heat rejection.

I agree OP. Tint makes such a considerable difference in the amount of heat and glaring light that enters the cabin I could never live without it.

You gotta love the internet. So now I'm thinking 70 clear which claims 49% heat rejection. Anyone have this? Thoughts?

The only reason I don't have tint is I don't think they look good on 911s of any generation. I have tint on my truck and on my last BMW 4 series.

I believe that's what's on my windshield. Impressive reduction in heat. Before you could fry an egg on my dash after an hour outside in the summer. Now it's only warm, I'll never have a car of any kind without this in the future.

I don't like the look of tint so I just turn on the ac full blast when it gets hot.
Sun glare doesn't really bother me- have never owned a pair of sunglasses.

When it's hot out (I spend a lot of time in Vegas during the summer where it's sunny and 100+ quite a bit), it's still hot, but as I'm sure you know, a good tint helps a ton.

Recently had 3M Crystalline 80 installed all around including windshield, picture shows the partially open window and gives an idea of how light the tint is.
Total Solar Energy Rejected is ~50% not far off from darker tints at ~60%. Clarity through windshield during night driving has not been impacted at all.
Was also hesitant initially on the windshield due to potential install damage and general complaints on windshield tint for night driving, but it worked out.
Would fully recommend this product for those seeking lighter tint look.

For those of you with tinted windshields, any of you wear polarized sunglasses, and if so, do you notice any issues (coloration / distortion, etc.)? I'm considering crystalline 90 on the front windscreen and maybe 80 on the rest of the car, but I wear polarized sunglasses and not sure if I will get any weird artifacts, etc...
