How do you not get tint?

I had tint on my CPO Touring and I got rid of it. Just didn't fit the look of that car.
I think on certain cars it makes some sense - a light tint on a Turbo S works IMO. That car seems to fit the aesthetic of metallic paint, aftermarket wheels, tint. On a GT3, it makes less sense.
I think it's a wash on a Carrera, but in the end I prefer without.
Heat rejection is real for me - parking outdoors for hours in the sun, there is a big difference with a tinted car.

Back to the OP. 1)Looks fantastic 2) Blocks Heat 3) Will definitely stop more UV* rays than the glass by itself 4) Deters theft 5) Offers way more privacy. Yes, I used to sell the stuff

I learned from RL that I am a drug dealer, today. Oddest things that expand my knowledge come from RL.
I have always had tint. Keeps the car cooler, prevents long term skin and car interior damage, and (subjectively) looks better. I have always lived in hot areas (AZ, FL), so I am sure I am biased. If you lived in a cloudy area where the weather was not as hot or sunny (Pac NW for example) then I would probably think harder about application.

I live in Texas, I didn’t tint my windows because 1. I don’t like the look 2. I drive with my windows down 99% of the time. The windshield was a consideration, but the installer that did my Exoshield said if I also tint the windshield it will probably disrupt my view .

Texas as well I did my windshield with a 70% ceramic tint and it cuts down on the heat in the car tremendously. I notice no distortion effects. This is probably the 8th car I’ve had the windshield done.

same here. I waited to tint my windshield, and it was the best thing I ever did. Has cooled the car down tremendously in the Florida sun during summer. No distortion in terms of view. Installer claims it will significantly reduce where on the dash leather. Not sure that’s a big issue for me because it spends 99.9% of its life in a garage.

I'm not a drug dealer so will never tint any car I own (and have removed tint before picking up several second hand cars like my GT3). It's perfectly fine even in sunny CA, even on 100+ degree days. I notice it much more on my older cars (1996 993 and 1995 F355 which seem to have no UV/IR filtering at all but even then it's no big deal, just crank the AC up a bit more.
Tint is almost as much of a turn off as an automatic.

Tint makes such a positive difference to the look of the car, it's an absolute must.

Nope. SoCal and Australia here, no tint. Pretty much always drive with polarized sunnies though.

Even the lighter tints, 55% as an example up to 70%, has benefit in reducing heat in the car. It is noticeable between stock factory glass no tint as OP shared in his experience. It keeps the car cooler after sitting in the sun, and while driving with windows up in direct sun. I have gone as dark as 35% and 20% in previous cars. Mostly around privacy with the heat reduction benefit.
My 2024 Cabriolet going in next week, going 55% sides and rear because I want the heat reduction benefit but not looking for the blacked out look for this car. And top and windows down most of the time anyway. Maybe 70% on windshield but not yet decided.

Why I’m a “Never Tinter”:
Why I would get tint (if you really, really twisted my arm):
- I like the look of the 911 without tint, and I do not think “blacked out” windows improve the looks of most cars.
- I like to show off the interior of the car. (I do not get black interiors, so I think the interior is something interesting to look at and show off).
- I do not like it when I am behind a car with tint, and I can’t see through the other car’s windows to the (tail lights of the) car directly in front. I think this is dangerous, and I do not want to impose this on the person behind me by tinting my windows. It probably also helps me not get rear-ended, if I am slower to brake in an emergency than the person in front of me.
- I do not want to give troopers any excuses to pull me over. My state has a 70% tint limit, but no-tint removes all confusion.
- I’ve seen far too many cars with bubbles in the tint or frayed edges. I don’t know if this is due to poor installation, low quality products, or if this plagues most tints after some time.
- I’ve seen too many online videos of “professional” installers prodigiously dripping fluid onto your dash and air vents during tint installation. Also, don’t the sharp razors they use scratch the windshield? Being OCD, these”pro” installations are painful to watch.
Why I would get tint (if you really, really twisted my arm):
- I hate the sun on my face.
- For the front, I hate the gap between the sun visors and rear view mirror, where the sunlight invariably pokes through to blind you when you least expect it.
- For the side windows, the 911 sun visors do not slide on their metal stalks to help protect the side of your face.
- On rare occasions I have to park outdoors in sunlight, I have concerns about the damage the heat and UV could do to the interior.

Really debating getting lighter tints. Maybe 55 all around. Digging the look of naked glass more and more but I can't stand the heat. Will I be throwing my money away with light tints?
