Probably a decent watch that is seriously overpriced. Very low on the cache totum pole.

I have no idea on value, but aesthetically, that is gorgeous.

Which PD watch models are worth looking into, in your opinion? Also, do any of PD watches hold value at all? How weak or strong is the used PD watch resale market?
Are you buying a watch to match the car you have on order?

I was required to buy one as a condition of buying a cancelled order 2024 C2 GTS off the lot at “MSRP” it is cool in that they matched parts of the watch to my Chalk GTS, but I’ll never wear it. I figure I’ll leave it in the nice box it came in and give it to the next owner of my GTS when I eventually sell it. I’d rather wear my Sub as I am used to it.

I received a timely allocation from a local Bay Area dealer at MSRP. I ordered a 992.1 T (Manual 7-Speed).

The Rocklin guys were actually quite motivated, but I didn't go with them. Also, Porsche Marin is very motivated and has an open allocation right now, and they also have two T models in their inventory on the ground, and are motivated to discount those two cars.

The market is definitely softening for the lower-trim 911 models.

No, absolutely not. I was never pressured to buy a PD watch for an allocation.

I already received an allocation at MSRP (and no dealer add-ons) with a delivery date from a local Bay Area dealer. I did not go with Porsche Rocklin, but a few salespeople there called me like 7 times to try to lure me in (not kidding). Rocklin is very motivated, to say the least.

I think Porsche Marin also gives a great deal on the T trims and C4S Cab models, among many others. Didn't go with them either, though. They have an open allocation for T currently, and highly motivated to move two T models sitting in its inventory.

I think I’d stick with the Tag or a used PD if I wasn’t a watch guy but I am so I own an Omega and one day the Rolex GMT. I own a few watches, even a quartz or two but I don’t see the value in what I’ve seen in the display cases at the dealership.

I bought one of these "limited edition" P6341 Flat 6 watches off ebay for $1100. Thought it looked cool, I'm not really a watch guy - I have a couple of $300 Scurfa dive watches and an Apple Watch.

Will somebody want a second hand Porsche design watch for more than 10% of original price? No.

If you like it and have money - why do you care?

For me - one more Tag Heuer fan here. Way more beautiful watches (vs Rolex), IMO. They also have some Carrera themes. I'd get one of those if had money to spend.

Just saw "Porsche design" HEAD skis on FB... $2400. Compare to regular HEAD skis without words "Porsche" that go for ~$600-$700.

As for whether any model is worth buying, it really depends on your taste and budget, right? Some folks swear by 'em for the style and quality, while others might prefer different brands.

Then only one I thought was worthwhile is this one:

I really disliked the single hand on our '22 cab. So I ponied up for two hands on the SC in the Targa. Worth it? Perhaps not but it doesn't annoy me to look at it.

I also got the sport design sub second clock, and it looks great and beats looking at a second hand mindless turning on a dial.
The watch is a waste of money.
