Personally, I'd consider buying a Porsche Design watch if PD made its own in-house movement.

Not convinced any of the current PD watches are worthwhile addition to a few Rolex pieces I currently hold in the last 6~10 years (Skydweller Steel White Dial, GMT Batman). EBay seems to have some relatively cheap PD watches at a big discount, but they usually do not sell with original boxes and papers, and who knows, maybe they are fakes.

"As for whether any model is worth buying, it really depends on your taste and budget, right? Some folks swear by 'em for the style and quality, while others might prefer different brands. "
Gotta do your research and see what speaks to you. Oh, and I stumbled upon this cool site, https://replicapanerai.io, where they've got some neat stuff if you're into watches. But hey, always make sure to buy from reputable sources, you know? Happy watch hunting, folks!

The original Porsche Design Chronograph was the first black PVD wristwatch, with incredible legibility and the legendary Lemania 5100 movement. If you don’t know what that movement is then you don’t know **** about watches. PD watches were made by excellent manufacturers, like IWC and Orfina, and PD created the first watch with a titanium case, and the first watch with the chronograph pushers built into the case. Also the first automatic chrono which could use the chrono pushers underwater without issue. I own watches from all the “grail” manufacturers, and can find many things about PD watches to appreciate, as could any watch enthusiast with a knowledge of watch history, and not just some watch bro who just discovered watches three years ago from watching Tik Tok videos.

Strictly as a fashion watch, is the old overstocked Flax Six 44mm worth $849 on eBay?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/13511796151...3Avlp_homepage

I think this model uses SW200 movement and has been discontinued for a few years. I would consider it a fashion watch, as it probably has no residual value if I were to sell it in the second-hand market.

I'm reasonably well-versed in Rolexes and Omega Snoopies, but never cared much for PD watches as they have no chance of ever being even semi-collectibles. I might pick up a PD watch strictly as a fashion watch though, as that red dial kinda matches my Guards Red T's paint color.

It's off 77% from the list price. Such is a life of a Porsche Design watch.

Now....if you guys want to invest in a quality timepiece that appreciates in value every day, buy the titanium Apple Watch. I paid over $900 with tax and a band and Apple offered me $125 trade in. LMFAO!!! Now thats SMART investing.

All kidding aside, I wear a ceramic Sub with date. Its all I need, paid $8550 new maybe 8 years ago and I believe its worth a good bit more now, although I have no desire to sell it.

This is sooooo cool.
Where would be a good place to purchase this watch? I know very little about the Swiss Watch business.

Do you have any trouble reading black hands on a black dial? Genuinely curious...

Hey buddy,When it comes to Porsche Design watches, they offer a range of stylish and high-quality timepieces. Some popular models worth considering are the Porsche Design Chronotimer Series 1, the Porsche Design Monobloc Actuator, and the Porsche Design 1919 Collection. These watches are known for their sleek designs and excellent craftsmanship. If you're a fan of Porsche and looking for a timepiece that combines style and performance, these models could be worth checking out! 🕰️✨

Again, just curious: do you run on 110v or 230v?
