no it doesn’t. Read what I posted. I gave a solution. Upgrading one thing in your ecosystem and not the other doesn’t make sense.
it’s almost 2024. If you’re driving a 992 then buying an iphone and Apple Watch or the android version shouldn’t be an issue.

OP would have to comment for themselves, but for me Apple Watch isn’t appealing due to having to be charged every day or two.

My wife has one and I asked her to test the podcast thing. She said she can’t because the watch is off charging right now.

I have a Garmin watch myself that easily goes 10 days between charges. I have it specifically because I don’t like taking my phone running and the Garmin watch holds my music for me. But I don’t worry about starting point so that doesn’t help OP.

In any case, my comment was in response to your incredulity to the relationship between running and car use which the OP did in fact make perfectly clear, whether you agree with their reasons or not.

I prefer to etch my podcasts into wax discs and play them on a phonograph in my car.

But does the phonograph have a 3.5mm port?

I just bring a whole live orchestra with me in the car, better fidelity.
As seen here

For the exact situation I also use iPhone + Apple Watch for when I run and don’t want to take phone with me. Pods are always right where I left off (oh the joy of cloud computing) and never have to plug anything in. If you just use the watch for runs charging shouldn’t be a problem between runs. And unless you are going super far the Apple Watch Ultra will get you through multiple runs between charges.

I'm not a troll. I asked a question, got a couple of useful answers and responded with what I think my next steps are.

In that case, try this small FM transmitter that plugs into your MP3 player, and allows you to (obviously) transmit your music through your car's FM radio. It's tiny, cheap, wireless, and allows you to use your MP3 player as you currently do.

Amazon Amazon

EDIT:

Here's another one that costs less and looks a bit more modern (to my eye)...

Thanks PSPorsche, those look more promising than some of the other options I've been looking into.

@LazyBrian care to comment on the many other options offers proffered against your decidedly ‘agricultural’ current setup?
