Default Mystery part found on garage floor

I noticed this part on the garage floor under where I park my 992.

Is this a part from the car or something completely random?

Thanks

Looks like some sort of plug or a bushing. If it’s a bushing the hole is probably for a shaft?
How big is it?

It could be the part above the side skirt that plugs into the body. Then a screw-type piece is pushed through the side skirt and turned to lock into this.

I posted on bard Ai a picture

what is this porsche part

View other drafts The Porsche part in the image is a rubber stopper. It is used to seal holes in various parts of the car, such as the engine compartment, trunk, and doors. It is also used to protect electrical connections from water and dust.

The rubber stopper in the image is specifically designed for Porsche vehicles. It has a unique shape and size that ensures a tight fit. It is also made from a high-quality rubber that is resistant to heat, oil, and other chemicals.

Here are some specific examples of where rubber stoppers are used in Porsche vehicles:
  • In the engine compartment, rubber stoppers are used to seal holes in the firewall, valve covers, and oil pan.
  • In the trunk, rubber stoppers are used to seal holes in the trunk lid and spare tire well.
  • In the doors, rubber stoppers are used to seal holes in the door panels and windowsills.
  • Electrical connections are often protected from water and dust with rubber stoppers.
If you need to replace a rubber stopper in your Porsche vehicle, be sure to use a genuine Porsche part. Genuine Porsche parts are designed and manufactured to meet the highest quality standards.

The item pictured is a Connector for a Hose. See the picture below. The Hose is inserted into the hole I have highlighted in RED. The Hose is retained by the circular Clip I have highlighted in YELLOW. The four Clip tangs act like a porcupine quill to prevent the Hose from backing out of the Connector once it has been installed.
Now, Q.) Where on a Porsche did this come from? A.) I have no idea. BUT, I would look around under the car and behind the Frunk Cover where the Battery (among other things) is located. You'd be looking for a lonesome Hose that has the outside diameter of the Hole I've Highlighted in Red . . . . Oh and one end of this Hose will not be connected to anything. Ex; Windshield Washer Fluid Line, Sunroof Water Drain Line, etc.
Do be careful as the water drain for the A/C Evaporator Housing will look like an abandoned Hose. It's dangles about an inch or so from a hole, under the car. This Hose and the hole it comes out of are on the other/bottom/road side of the floor roughly where your passengers right foot is when they're sitting in the car. Don't plug this hose!
No loose unattended Hoses? It's probably not a part from your car.

Thanks everyone. I'll take a closer look in the spring when I take my car out of storage.

Part was found in the garage after I drove away. Approx in the middle of the car. Could very well be from some other componet.

Appreciate everyone's input.
